So its the first Sunday of 2015, and what do I find myself doing on the laziest day of the week? Working!
As usual, I had a late start; and by late I mean really really late. I had to reach my office so that the painters could finish their work and I can get the whole office prepped up for my first 2015 industrial training batch. Who would've thought that I would be still getting things ready just a day before the Judgement Day? (If I'm meticulous, wanting everything as perfect as it humanly could be, yeah I'm to blame). After picking up Bajri and Abhishek "Mallo" Madaan, who was so innocently under the impression that we would spend our time playing Poker and/or the brilliant game of Dirty Seven, I reached office somewhere around 1 PMish. With my instant and super heroic estimation of the pace at which work was going on, I knew that the work couldn't be properly completed by the end of the day.
So I kicked the fact that it was a Sunday out of my head and involved both Bajri and Mallo (who was really dressed up for the job in his night pajamas begging me to give him some work) in getting the work done and more importantly getting it done properly.
After a flash of time, Incubator 0 & Incubator 1 were just as I had them imagined (not exactly, but hey I'm just a human). This called for a party, so I invited Savi, Rohit Kochar, Sagar and the rest of their cricket team up for a friendly game of Poker, which later dissolved into many games of "Dirty Seven" and "Least the count", while the painters finalized their part.
This was an interesting way to spend a Sunday - one that's new to me, but something that I wouldn't like to repeat in case its avoidable.
